It's funny, there is a quote where Hitler talks about arguing with a Jew, who keeps repeating his points regardless of how many times they are proven wrong until he finally quiets of tiredness(I'm not quoting verbatim, as I've never read Mein Kampf). And the next day, continues the tirade as if the previous argument never existed, completely ignoring and or refusing to acknowledge the previous loss. That can parallel to Pikachu fighting for that day and winning, only to be released from his ball the very next day to fight some more as if the other battles never happened.

I'll have to find the actual quote and change it to one Pokemon themed.
