That first picture definitely wasn't racist. It was pretty funny and clever though. Poking fun at race issues and the whole thing about one of the characters in the film being played by a black person. But it didn't come across as disrespectful or maliciously trying to stereotype anyone. It's just proposing an amusing concept.

I found the first iimage when it turned up in a google search for "asgard norse". At first I thought it might have been a Stormfront thing but nah, it's from a comic/hip-hop mash-up on flickr. Here's the rest of it.

And as far as I know there's nothing racist about traditional Norse beliefs either, although it may seem that way given the corruption of its imagery over the last century. You know, Nazi propaganda and crap like that. Seriously, that's what I thought the picture was when I first saw it.
