That reminds me. The other day I saw someone say homosexuality is nature's way of curbing overpopulation. Granted this was in the comments of a Disinformation post on Facebook (ctrl+f "homo" to find it), but those guys really have a knack for bullshitting their way to the truth. I bet there's something to that.

Reading those posts was a headache. Do they really think that by not having kids themselves they are going to somehow impact third-world birth rates, which we subsidize with food and aid all the time? Overpopulation discussions always seem to be fixated on first-world people as the problem when our birth rates aren't even at a level for replacement, much less overpopulation.


Everyone wants to agree that overpopulation is a thing but they don't want to follow that rabbit down the hole when it comes to where the problems actually lie.

Oh don't get me wrong, I know better than to spend a lot of time reading those comments. That was just one of the ones I happened to notice. The organization itself is pretty awesome though. I've been keeping up with them for about ten years now, after reading one of their books back in the day. Their web presence is like some unholy hybrid of Fox News, Marvel Comics, and 4chan. Great stuff. ;D

As far as legitimate overpopulation discussions, pfff, I don't even know where to start with that. If I wanted to be really evil about it, I'd recommend introducing epidemics of drug addiction and viral outbreaks to over-populated urban areas. Fortunately there's no one out there insane enough to actually do such a thing.
