That is pretty awesome. I bet you could go the other way with that and make a horror story seem pleasant. Like you could write a first person perspective from the viewpoint of a little boy, who sends people to see his mother so she won't be lonely. Then at the end you realize the boy's mind is in the body of Jason Voorhees, and he's been sending campers to heaven the entire time.

    :3

    Also,

    Spoiler!

That would also be pretty awesome. Especially if you didn't see it coming till like the last page.

Jason would be a truly sympathetic character if anyone took the time to write an actual story about him, as opposed to the usual mindless slasher stuff. He is literally a retarded child. The "adults" who were his legal guardians made fun of him, let him drown, and then decapitated his mom. People probably think I'm crazy for saying this but he really is the good guy of that saga.

Especially in the last one, where he fights Freddy. The whole film is about the ultimate abused child versus the ultimate child abuser. In the end the child triumphs over the abuser while saving other kids in the process. In light of that, Jason Voorhees qualifies as not only the protagonist but also a superhero.

    tl;dr: jason is awesome

    Spoiler!

    Damn man, that's awesome.

I always loved the line of site teleportation too. Such an awesome subtle ability.
