I used to wear a necklace with that symbol on it when I lived downtown. You wear stuff like that when you live in the south, shit gets weird in a hurry...

There was this new age bookstore across the street from my old apartment, I'd go in there sometimes to look at stuff. They all thought my little necklace was cool at first. One of the girls there even started wearing one like it. But one night I came in and for whatever odd reason, the music they were playing changed. It was playing this soft Indian music (think Gandhi Indian, not Tonto) and it got to a really loud and intense part of the song just as I walked through the door.

Panther Blackthorne worked the counter that night and I'm not even bullshitting here, that really was his name. He would take out ads in the local scene paper to give people readings and shit. What a fucking twink. Anyway, Panther lost his shit when this happened. He jumped out from behind the counter, ran back to the CD player, and switched it to a calmer track.

Next day I was banned from Magical Journeys. Sometimes afterwards I'd sit outside my apartment, right across the street. One night I came out and sat with my cat-who-happens-to-be-black, just as a storm rose. Panther shitted bricks then too. He jumped up from his little seat on the porch and ran inside the store.

Not even sure where I'm going with this, honestly. It's just internet rambling I guess.

But it does kind of explain why I like Magneto.
