    Bit Transmission Episode 11

    Get it here.

I remember that point-and-click Pac-Man game! I used to play that a lot. I think I only managed to get Pac-Man pissed off once, but the rest of the time he was pretty chipper. I remember something about...helping Mrs. Pac-Man with a couch? Or something? I dunno, it's been a long time.

On the topic of Metroid being survival-horror, I would definitely agree. But I think the true survival-horror game of the series was Fusion, which is by far my favourite. Then again, I haven't played much of Super Metroid and I might end up liking that one better. But, in Fusion, you weren't just alone with low resources, you were also being tracked down by a horrifying creature that looked like you. And there were dead things and gross shit everywhere. Fusion was the only game of the series (I'm talking about the side-scrollers) that actually disturbed me to a certain degree. Metroid is definitely about feeling isolated and surviving, but Fusion gave that to you ten-fold. The entire game was a massive mind-fuck. My only problem with Fusion was that you were able to talk to others outside of the station, which made you feel less alone. Take that out and it would be perfection. Uh...Long paragraph.

    Fun fact:

I LOVE this game!! I played it way back in the day, and then again last year. It's still a lot of fun. The fact that Pac-Man is always moving also makes it somewhat interesting (if sometimes aggravating). His facial expressions are the best, and I love experimenting with the environment so much.

Can't relate much to Puzzle Quest though, being colorblind and all...

Also yay for us winning the contest! If anyone wants the Jonathan Holmes character for 3D Dot Game Heroes, I've attached it to this post!

GameRoom takes a lot of harsh comments. Not only here, but in others sites and podcasts too. I feel that a bit unfair. People look at gameroom superficially, seeing only a bunch of atari games that you play only once and is done. They have build a cool ranking system. That old games getting much more fun when you invest and learn the mechanics. A little like a megaman game, but more simple. And is fun when you have scores. Besides there are medals linked to score and time playing the game. You are always recompensed when play in ranked mode.

That said, GameRoom have a lot of problems with poor games. Intellevision entire library is bad. Atari 2600 and arcade games need more publishers.

Hhrrrnnghhh...I need my Bitfix. Can't wait until Conrad is done with whatever he's been doing. Sega Addicts can only go so far. Like...as far as Sega.
