You know despite the fact I'd desperately love to play a demo of this game I never touched the Beta, it was free to play wasn't it...? I've always sort of been more of a fan of the campaign over the multiplayer for some reason.

Same here, but I always dabble in Gears' online for a bit. The beta was fun, so I'm thinking I might stick with it longer than I have in the past.

Not truly free, you had to pre order Gears 3 at GS or buy bullet storm.

MP is very much improved.

Yeah, I always meant to try the MP in 2 because it was obviously huge and sounded like a lot of fun ...but for some reason I never got round to it! I will definitely get this though so I'll probably give the MP a go - Horde 2.0 sounds really good aswell!

You didn't miss much from the multiplayer in 2 unless you skipped Horde, which was fun. If you still want to try Gears1 multiplayer, I'm usually hosting a game every Friday night.

Well I didn't play any GOW2 MP so I missed it all completely! I was never very keen on having to pay to get online - especially not to microsoft.

I wouldn't mind playings GOW1 online, is this for the PC though? Cause that's what I've got it on.

Pretty sure I know everything about the gears universe now.

I'll be knee deep in this game. Really enjoyed kicking ass in the Beta. I use the sawed off & retro combo just to troll the knasher purists from GW2.

Once I got the hang of the Sawed Off, it's all I used.

You could just rush in, blow their head off, and then jump back and rush out.

Rinse and repeat.

Agreed. I know most people don't like it, but I also enjoyed King of the Hill in the beta.

Believe I played more of that in the beta than anything else once I completed my unlocks. I mean, I'm all for running around and trying for the most kills, but it's refreshing when you have an objective to make the group work as a team from time to time.
