Really? Because I've heard the total opposite.

Just a note on the early bit about the "GTA 4 and Red Dead engines" -- they are not, as said, running the Euphoria engine. Euphoria is a middleware. Rockstar created their own engine for both games, and Euphoria was licensed from Natural Motion for inclusion into Rockstar's GTA4 engine (presumably the license was renewed for Red Dead, and possibly for the two DLC packs for GTA4).

Think of it like how games license Havok/AEGIA/etc. physics. Except in this case, it's not lifelike physics being added in, but lifelike, procedural animations (likely reducing hand-animation and motion-capture needs).

So I asked this random guy I know what he'd bring during the Zombie apocalypse, and said no saying a slaughterhouse.

So he tells me a porn magazine.

    Loved the show.

    That is all, carry on.

It seems I'm late in hearing this but that doesn't change the fact that it was quite entertaining. Good job guys.

Bit of topic but thought it would be the best place to ask. As I'm not sure people outside of the UK can get this.

New 'The IT Crowd' is up on 4OD, anyone else watched it yet?

No but that's awesome. I've seen the advert on TV but I didn't know it would be up on 4OD so soon. I'll give that a watch in a minute.

We need to revive the pub (thread) for a place to banter about general topics and britishness.

Your Bromley slang confuses me. Is cash good?

Personally I'm happy to see a return for Moz and the gang. But there has been better.

I love The IT Crowd but yeah, fuck 40D.

Saw that Plain Lazy are selling "Keep Calm and Carry On" and "Now Panic and Freak Out" t-shirts. Probably a bit sad that the very first thing I thought of was "hey! BritToid t-shirts!"

Anyone else see the budget reports today? The tax break for the videogame industry in the UK has been scrapped. 6 weeks since it was announced it's gone.

That's the Tories for you. Always with the short-term goals.

They'll take anything they can get for the next two years and sadly they're not seeing the bigger picture with this industry.

I realise there are people who are upper class and rich, and profit from the torys, I also realise there are dumbasses who get taken in by their lives. But what I don't understand is how there are 10 million of them. I live in Oxfordshire, there is only 1 non tory mp, who is Andrew Smith, and he is a very right wing New Labour politician. (We used to have Dr Evan harris (lib dem) but he lost his seat by 176 votes *frowny face) So obviously a lot of people are right wing and must vote for the torys. But I've never met all these people, I know perhaps 10 people who like the torys opposed to the over 100 that think they are evil. How do they gain so much support. It's not that I'm working class either, I'm a middle class snob. I'm thinking made up people to rigg the election like in Zimbabwe.

Also I saw a forum where someone was called "LittleMissThatcher" and their signature was a photo of that beelzebub of a women with a load of smileys giving a looking up in admiration/sexual desire. Never have I wanted to stab people more.

Also Thatcher financed the training of Bin Laden in the 80s. Just throwing it out there.

    Tell me about it.

My girlfriend works for the police (just as admin) and she says they're basically fucked for the next two years because of this Emergency Budget. It's going to bite everyone in the arse eventually because that's how short sighted the Tories are.

Going back on on a related gaming topic though, has anybody notice that videogame developer training programme that's being heavily advertised on TV?

I can already feel the Tories trying to work that into their favour now that they're taxing developers.
