Please don't call Bioshock next gen, Colette. It's almost 3 years old and has a sequel on the same set of consoles. That's about as current as I can frame this generation.

That statement was douchey but people still saying "next gen" like the PS3/360/Wii aren't out yet bothers me.

Feel my wrath at your completely innocuous passing comment that wasn't really even related to your point!

Loved the discussion of Fragile Dreams (which I wish more and more people would talk about and, you know, play). It was also hard for me to really connect my thoughts on the game until after I had finished it, and to this day it's still one of those games that I think about and come up with new interpretations of. Last game that really did that for me was Shattered Memories.

I wish more games would approach their narratives with such strong sense of theme in place, and provide just enough meaning to make a cohesive story while still leaving room for analysis and personal interpretation.

Hey iTunes users: If you like the show (or if you don't), it would be a big help if you could write a review. Almost all of the reviews we have refer to RFGo and I'm sure we can all agree that it's a very different show. So, getting some reviews that say things other than "this isn't retroforcego" would be awesome.

I've wanted to play Fragile Dreams for a while now, and the discussion in this episode made me want it even more. BUT I AM NOT FOR HAVE WII. Sad times. Very sad times.

Also, every time Colette talks about her love for Silent Hill I want to make passionate video-game related love with her. Yup. Sshh, the sentence is only creepy if you think about it for too long.

You guys talked about so much shit that I can't really pinpoint any one moment of awesome.

Except that FF3/6 is the best FF ever.

I have heard a lot of different games related podcasts. But this one is definitely the best one. Im really glad that people who have similar game taste as me, have their own podcast. Couse games like Fragile Dreams deserves a little talk about them. If I only had one word to discribe Bit Transmission I will be genuine, genuine love for video games, not the chases after next big news and romours, just talk about games and things they love. Keep up the good work!

Oh and it was very funny when you mentioned that Norway studio was the one who worked on Alan Wake. Very humbling.

Also look at this video about Alan Wake and Residen Evil 4 comparison:

I'm so glad my obsession with Silent Hill has a positive effect on somebody.

Damn you, Colette! Your pure love for Fragile Dreams is making me crave it even more, but I'm trying to follow that same one-game rule and shouldn't buy it now. Must... resist...

I thought the shorter length of this ep. was nice, actually.

I'm pretty sure I saw a copy of Apocalypse last time I was at Play N Trade. I knew what it was, but I didn't know it would at least be worth playing for the camp. Definite buy next time I see it.

Hey Colette, you forgot to mention that Yasunori Mistsuda also composed Chrono Trigger!

Great episode, super informative and all that. I'd totally love a site dedicated to reviews via almost inaudible noises.

This episode takes me back solely for that Bruce Willis quote.

Did you ever see Bruce promoting this game at E3 (or something like it)?

It was probably the most cringeworthy thing I've ever seen. There was clip of him on a now defunct show called Movies, Games and Videos. He just sitting awkwardly, baseball cap down low, trying to explain the difference between 2D and 3D. He's a pretty awkward guy in interviews anyway, but he was obviously out of his depth here.
