It's kinda hard to get it to make sense, so it's a little like a puzzle. Fun, though.

Hmm. Might as well take a crack at this. I've been writing for as long as I can remember. Doesn't mean I'm any good though (IknowIsucksojustbearwithme). I've had plenty of people tell me that I'm, "an incredible writer!" but I think they only say that simply because I'm not much good at anything else. Whatever.

Night is the darkest time of day,
hollowed out and carved into a face.

To this day
I am still waiting.
I chose to stay.
And for you, a poem, I’m dedicating.

I’ve seen the movies.
Where love lasts across the seas.
Where love thrives.
Even as one dies.

“She wanted me for my money.”
said my dad.
“Of which you have none, honey.”
said my mom.

To this day
I am still waiting.
To live love in this way.
My foolish heart, I am hating.

Times are different now.
Yet you and I are the same.
Our foolish hearts to blame.

But fools? Are we really?
To want to agree fundamentally?
To both gaze at the sky,
and never say good-bye?

To this day
I am still waiting.
And here I lay,
Stargazing, with my foolish heart.

The Cracked Book

I am not unlike a book.
There is so much to learn,
With just a simple look.

Flipping through the pages,
Unveils other chapters.
Discover me through my ages.

I have a story,
Filled with drama and action.
There is much to see.

I often sit upon a shelf,
Unopened and undiscovered.
It weighs on my health.

As I lay in this library,
I see you, simply looking?
Will you read me?

You may read something
You’ve never known.
Amazing for only peering.

Truly, we are all like a book.
We have so much to be learned.
To be read is what we’ve yearned.
We have a story, you and I.
Come, we don’t have to say good-bye.
Our story would never die,
If we had, but a simple look.

Simply Sitting

There sat a man upon a stool,
And with him was a glass.
He sat there lost in his own thoughts,
The others found him crass.

The glass was completely empty,
And food completely gone.
Yet he sat there lost in his thoughts,
You’d think something was wrong.

The shop owner just rolled her eyes,
All but him came and went.
The man had paid no mind at all,
Since this was time well spent.

The man was not happy nor sad,
He was simply content.
He just stayed to take it easy,
No reason to repent.

That's a really nice form. The theme's a nice change of pace, too. Sitting around and doing fuck-all is one of my favourite hobbies.

Once upon a time,
I felt a little rhyme.

When a bird falls,

Lo, let that night be solitary,
So that no joyful voice comes therein.
But, should someone sing, do not be sorry!
One should not let my doom and gloom win.

Why give light to a man whose way hides?
Try as he may, the man is helpless.
But, such a gift! Surely one confides
In this man and he is not hopeless!

“Our fate cannot be taken from us”;
Scour, however, to know this fate…
But, fate gives us a purpose and thus

I’ve sat too long like a stone,
That now my heart has become one.
For this I, alone, must now atone.

I find it odd how people can lie,
And have nothing to believe in.
People want to go to heaven,
But they don’t want to die.

Nothing comes from inaction, but rust.
And lacking in words can break trust.

The clouds embraced us all,
And the wind sang a song
As snow had welcomed spring.
It’s effect, nothing small.

A child’s acknowledging laugh,
Nothing can replace that.
But a pure soul is no better,
Than one’s unpolished whole.

Beauty can’t ever be hidden away,
For even the moon sneaks into the day.
Just so it can welcome us to the night,
To Ensure us that everything’s all right.

Beauty is there when you awake,
And is also there while you sleep.
But beauty is never oblique,
Though sometimes it may seem opaque.

When one sees the ordinary,
One sees the beauty.
In the air it speaks.
In the rain it weeps.
Everywhere, beauty seeps.
