Do you use i-tunes ratings playlists? I found leaving my itunes playing on shuffle on my Top Rated playlist for a while, gave me good results on Last Fm after a while. Otherwise it's all like "You like Radiohead, so you probably like The Beatles..."

NO!

I integrated my itunes with last.fm a while back. I would put the same itunes playlist on every time I went to sleep, so every band in that playlist has way more plays than other band in my library. So, according to last.fm, my favorite bands are the ones I like sleeping to, which isn't really accurate.
