Players whose PER's were better than Steve Nash's last year:

    Greg Monroe
    Brandon Wright
    Nikola Pekovic
    Antwan Jamison
Stephen Curry (injured a good majority of last season)
    Marcin Gortat
    Ryan Anderson
    DeMarcus Cousins

And only two spots below Mr. Nash:

    JaVale McGee.

Not a good stat to prove a point with, since PER's are usually inflated anyway.

In related Houston news, Yao Ming stole kid's oreo, got punked immediately after, then was 2 seconds from making out with said kid.

Houston is leaving dudes gay as fuck.

Not gonna lie, kind of disgusting to imagine him in a Laker uniform. Everybody that puts one of those on just turns into an instabitch. Artest before L.A.? A man, one who didn't take shit from anybody no matter the repercussions. Afterward? Metta World Peace.

Gasol, well...I'll let the videos speak for themselves:

    Pre-L.A.

It's sad to think Steve Nash will suffer the same fate as those before him. You know why Shaq left? Because he was A MAN. He wasn't about to let Kobe treat him like his bitch. So he went out and got a title by himself. When Kobe can get a title by himself then I'll give him props. Bitch can drop 81 on an expansion lottery team in the regular season, lead a team back from 3 - 1 and win accolades...but can't get a ring by himself? The only difference between him and LeBron is LeBron at least got his shitty team to the Finals by himself. Kobe can't even crack the top 4 without 3 All-Stars and one of the league's best defenders around him.

lol. He's had only one legit all-star on his championship teams and you know it. Shaq and Pau, Bynum only recently has become a star. His 6th ring would be with 2 other legit all-stars and a HoF'er with Nash. I will give you Glen Rice and Harper as two other players in the early 2000's that hella-contributed but they were not all-stars.

But oh look at that Jordan had 2 HoF'ers on his last 3 chips, guess we should dock him points too?

Nah, I'm sure you'll suck the dick of the man who raped your houston teams and let them have 2 rings as an apology.

I've been watching it on Giant Bomb, the chat there has been cool and helpful explaining some shit. The KOF XIII Finals were fucking awesome, I just bought a copy of the game.

Yeah they were. The only thing that has kept me from buying it is the time I'd need to invest to get decent at it.

I have about 5 minutes of experience with SNK fighting games, but I'm willing to just jump into it. I know I'll be horrible. Seems pretty fun, really fast.

That Virtua Fighter 5 game on XBLA also looked pretty kickass, super smooth. Again, a series I have almost no experience with.

Virtua Figher 5 is supposed to be even more technical from what I've read/heard.

Missed everything except two matches. I'll have to catch up tonight and tomorrow for MK, SSF4, and evidently KoF.

I only played the KOF demo, but I could tell that it was fun as hell but strict for inputs. There's no SF4 shortcut shit. Which is good if you spend enough time with it because I hate trying to throw a fireball but do a SRK instead.

I've been really enjoying all the EVO matches, good shit all across the board. KoF13 grand finals were really fun and tense to watch, as were the UMvC3 fights (which I finally picked up today and have been fooling around with a bit). Daigo's performance in that one SFIV match was pretty surprising.

    Great matches all around though.

KoF XIII is ridiculously fun, but the required time, effort, and dedication needed to play it at a high level is something not a lot of people have. It's definitely worth it, because if you can master a game like that every other fighting game will be a cakewalk, but it definitely requires a devotion most other fighting games don't.

I'd recommend at least trying it out, because the game is fun even at basic levels of play, but don't expect the coddling Capcom fighters have made their base accustomed to.

Edit: Got back on IV for the first time in a very long time and managed to work a lot of the rust off in just a couple of matches.
