That's one of the bigger reasons I'm not a fan of SF4. The linking and frame data seem really really squirrely.

The number of new characters could change though as Capcom is open to fan feedback. In fact, a lot of the new content here is based on fan feedback.

That is excellent news. I know I can trust Capcom when it comes to stuff like this. Fans made Mega Man 9 happen, TvsC in the US happen and so on. They do well by their fans.

I really like the look of the old and new characters in SSFIV, oozing with style. Juri looks like a real fast character too, makes me think she's like Bison + Elena for some reason.

They said 8ish characters and the number may increase over the course of development, so that makes me a happy camper if those include Dudley, Ibuki, and Makoto(and Karin, R. Mika and a few more from SF3).

Best news I've heard all day. If the amount of content is as large as they say it is, this will be worth buying a new disc. In the meanwhile, I'm going to continue to play IV until I feel I've pretty much mastered every technique in that game as much as I can so that transferring it over to Super IV won't take too long. Glad DeeJay is going to be on there. I hope Guy, Dudley and Ibuki make it. Juri reminds me a bit of Ibuki's style, so to have both in the game would be awesome.

I'm really, really stoked about this news. hard to believe the series (and the genre) looked all but defunct before SFIV was announced. 8-10 new characters is a massive upgrade, not to mention all the fixing and hopefully online tweaking they will do. Can't wait.

I agree wholeheartedly, even though technically none of the games showed Bison being sent to hell. 90% of the SF storyline is fans trying to make sense of it and Capcom dropping little tidbits, then retconning them. What I meant is I would like the in-game story to be at least decent, unlike the half-assed nonsensical crap that was in SFIV.

nah, not really. you need a stick to be good good, but as long as you find something you're comfortable with, and it's not the standard 360 controller :P you're pretty much fine. I switched to a stick a few months ago, and while I don't regret the move, I suck just as much Some things are easier to do, like FADC, but like I said it's all a matter of what you're used to. Fightpads are just as good for many people (all six buttons on the face).
