Harden just broke his career record in points, no biggie. 2-0 > 0-3 is all I'm saying.

Dude, your team has Kobe Bryant, Steve Nash, Pau Gasol, Jamison, Hill, and Artest. And they haven't won even a preseason game. That's not overreacting, that's fucking ridiculous at this point. They've had just as much time as any other team to prepare for the season and the problem isn't just on offense or defense. It's both sides of the court. The Western Conference All-Stars can't beat a single team?

I'm not saying they won't win a game this year or not get to the Finals, but you have to agree that this losing streak they're on is pretty sad considering their roster.

But they won games in the preseason and didn't start the season 0-3. Plus, they didn't have 4 high profile players and a good bench, they had 3 great players and an injury depleted bench that starred Eddy Curry. They didn't win the championship that year either, mind you.

Yeah, no need to worry about it or panic at all. Just 4 All-Stars, 2 MVPs, one Defensive Player Of the Year, 3 Olympic medalists, and the most expensive payroll in the NBA losing all but one game so far.

If you guys get Jerry Sloan I might consider dropping my hatred and rooting for this team. Dwight and Nash with Kobe and Gasol coached by Sloan would be a ridiculous thing to see and hard to root against. It'd be amazing basketball.

The only reason I hate the Lakers is because of Kobe. Jerry Sloan + the rest of Kobe's supporting cast > my hatred for Kobe Bryant. If it happens, it stands to reason that the Lakers would at least be in the Finals, if not win it all. The only teams so far who have displayed the consistency to get to that level are the Spurs, Clippers, Heat, and Knicks. The Thunder have been winning, but are clearly not the team they were last year and with Kevin Martin on their team he will inevitably be their downfall at some point.

Everyone else looks surprisingly disappointing after some major acquisitions and player movement (Nets, Celtics, Mavs, Bulls, Sixers, and Nuggets).

Add a Jerry Sloan coached Lakers squad into the mix and that'd be hard to root against mostly because they'll be winning a ton of games, but also because their games will something close to perfect basketball being played.

Turns out Phil wanted Jim Buss' job, an ownership stake with the Lakers, the ability to not have to go to road games, and anal with Jeannie Buss. If Nash has the ball 90 percent of the time now I can live with it.
