You're delusional if you think this L.A. Team is anything like the previous 3 years. Not only is your bench weaker, the coaching staff doesn't know how to utilize what it has because it no longer runs the triangle. Pin downs and high screen and rolls will only work with Sessions and he showed tonight how good he is at that.

The fact of the matter is anyone who plays defense has a shot against the Lakers because the Lakers don't have the offensive firepower they used to have. Bryant had 28 points on 20 shots. The Lakers went to the line 20+ times. Gasol was ineffective on the defensive end and Sessions played out of control for most of the night. Bynum's head is never in the game and Bryant is now officially too old to carry the combined dead weight of Blake, Artest, Gasol, Murphy and Barnes. Never mind he has a coach whose best play for his star player is an iso on the wing or the top of the key. The Lakers play defense pretty much like they always have, but that offense is nothing to be afraid of.

In the final minutes of the game Kobe went 0fer everything. He's tired and he needs help. Bynum could be that guy, if only he just wasn't the massive douchebag Kobe and company molded him in to. That arrogance off the court hurts him on the court and it's just one more thing the Lakers have to worry about with him alongside injuries and inconsistency.

Lakers culture in general is toxic and very much like last year, it won't be long before it rears it's ugly head in the payoffs yet again.

Meanwhile, anything the Rockets do is overachieving because we were lottery-bound coming into the season. Big trade fell through, key players were made uncomfortable in a situation they were stuck in, no All-Star or high profile scorer to lead the team, Coach is below 500 for his career and we were stuck with Hasheem Thabeet and Jordan Hill for the 5 when the season began.

And yet, we've beaten the Thunder, Bulls, Lakers, Celtics and Spurs on their home floors this season. Some of those while missing our two leading scorers/starters. There's only up to go for us. The Lakers have just about peaked. They can play more cohesively, but every player is pretty much at full potential right now. This is as good as they're going to get. Kobe is the only player who can take it to another level. I predict they make it to the second round at best.
