I figured it would probably come up sooner or later, so here's some articles relating to the current status of this potential game (i.e. rumors):

I'm glad to hear about the additional characters, ultras and return of the bonus stages, but since the initial mention of in-game video demonstrations for Trials, nothing else. This needs to happen.

Some speculate that this means Charlie is alive and will return. I don't think the game needs two Guiles. Sonic boom->dash forward->forward+medium punch/cHK is all I ever see from Guile players, but I guess that's really the only way to play him in IV (I admit I am guilty of this too).

The TGS only has 2 more days left, so if the promise that an announcement would be made there is true, we'll only have to wait, at max, two more days.

This rumor is one of the most trustworthy ones I've seen in a while. Everyone that spread this around earlier this month were given a "cease and desist" order by Capcom themselves...

It is supposed to be revealed today! Since Shiozowai(sp), official Capcom blogger for SF4, updates her blog every Friday!

Well I totally expected it since before SF4 even came out, so it doesn't sting as bad. I guess it is kinda bullshit in the day of patches and DLC, but seeing as how I've put 100 hours into that game and still feel like I've barely scratched the surface, I'll buy a new one in a heart beat.

I would've liked a patch or some sort of DLC, but seeing as how they plan on re-working the system (according to rumors) in addition to several characters, I don't hold it against Capcom. However, I am a little angry considering the time I put into IV and seeing almost nothing done with it as far as patches and other DLC. Championship Mode and one additional costume aren't really much. I would have enjoyed a World Tour mode or something that adds to the single-player experience as well as multi-player. Something along the lines of Dramatic Battle or Team Battle would have been nice.

Anyway, I'll pretty much take Street Fighter any way they wish to release it, so I'm not going to complain (unless the game sucks).

Once you get into abusing frame rates you've lost me. That's just too ridiculous.

Ibuki and Makoto are awesome additions, though.

I got SFIV for $20 new so if it does end up being a full $60 game I think I'll get it. I like fighting games and I don't play them enough so I think I'll give it another go. Depending on what they announce though. Either way whenever Capcom has anything to announce, I get excited.

About damn time we got something on this. I was still speculative as to the existence of this game, but I'm pretty certain we'll get some info on Monday now. Fuck Capcom for toying with the fanbase, but I'll be damned if I don't get excited when they even allude to something Street Fighter-related.

I'm playing SF IV with my friend's copy and was just planning to pick one up today or tomorrow. Guess, I'll just use my friend's copy for a while and wait for some more information.

If it's gonna be more than 6 months, I won't be able to wait that long.
