Anything where somebody shoots down an aerial drone using anything too simple pisses me off straight away.

Shitty conclusions. I preferred every other Bourne film and not even because Matt Damon.

I like stuff like that though. Like the part in Avengers where Hawkeye shoots an arrow into the wind just so, and it blows back into one of the helicarrier's engines. Haven't seen much more of the film than that but yeah, that part was awesome.

Jack Reacher was pretty neato. Really good, actually. People who've read the books (I'm not one of them) have complained that Cruise is way too small to be a convincing Reacher, but I thought he was great. One point where it was obvious the character was meant to be bigger was when a detective asks the lady at the desk of a motel which of the guests could possibly kill a woman with one punch. She gives him Reacher's name and he asks why, and she responds with "You'll know when you look at him." The whole little conversation works better in the movie. Or it would if Tom Cruise actually looked like he could kill anybody with one punch.

Anyways, he was great as was the flick. I especially loved the sound in the movie. The guns and the car engines sounded so damned good. The sniper shots that open the movie sounded perfectly powerful and chilling, and the big car chase was audio gold.

And there's no way for me to really describe exactly what I mean when I say the following, but the movie gave off a very 'Lethal Weapon' vibe, to me at least. Or maybe 'Lethal Weapon' mixed with a dash of Dennis Lehane. I dug it.

Had no idea Jack Reacher was a book until after seeing the trailer and subsequently paying attention online. The Youtube ad seems so exaggerated that it's easily mistaken for a parody of the action genre, kind of like what Scream did for slashers. Wikipedia's page is fascinating though. I'd like to go see this.

'Sleepwalk With Me' was pretty good. If you're familiar with his stand-up version you know the entire movie before it happens, but it's still worth watching. It's hard to say for sure if Birbiglia has the acting chops to make a transition to movies, if he even intends to try, since he mostly is just acting out his live routine/his own life. That said, he does a great job of it so I think he can make it as well as any other comic. Speaking of, seeing all of the comedy cameos was cool. Extra-super bonus points for having Loudon Wainwright III in the movie. I love that dude.

Watched The Lost Boys, Home Alone 2, Street Fighter, and The Santa Clause with commentary from the Comedy Button. It's fucking hysterical. Gonna do Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 next.

Re-watched Mulan. Did it have like no budget, or something? A waning Eddie Murphy at top billing, about 75 minutes long, only like three songs, and a lot of noticeable animation shortcuts. That being said, I still really love it. Mostly because of it's straight forward, over the top positive message: "Mulan, you da bess, everyone else can get bent." I mean, she single handedly saves a country and is pretty much the most kickass Disney character in every way.
