What a disappointment. I can deal with them completely altering the narrative of the book (though I don't see why they didn't just make their own IP in the first place then), but this is changing more than that. These aren't even Max Brooks' slow moving zombies. This is a CG, fluid-like stream of "zombies". Fuck this kind of shitty overused CGI.

Yeah, there's no fucking way in hell I'm paying money to see this now. World war z is a fantastic piece of work that's extremely worthy of having it's source material taken seriously for a movie and I'm not going to encourage them to continue doing this kind of shit, by paying money to watch it.

Holy shit, the little high schooler debate on the previous page is laughable. My family and I go through so much ammo in a typical shooting range day, it'd be impossible to see guns as any viable means of defense outside of emergency and picking things off with a rifle from 150ft. And speaking of accuracy, I've fired a couple thousand rounds in the last two years since my wife and I got a Glock, and while I'm pretty proud of my aim, I can't even imagine hitting a moving target with any accuracy during a stress filled situation.

Watching that second video reminded me of I am Legend, and how little the film version of that had to do with the original book. It seems like they just buy up the rights to these things for name recognition then pump out another generic action film.

In the original J. Michael Stra-however the fuck you spell it script they wrapped his story into the family that tried to flee north and nearly starved to death. That script was really good. I see absolutely nothing of it in the trailer. Sigh.

Totally stoked this is happening. The original audio book was great, the only bad thing was it was abridged.
