My daughter has been interested in gaming since she could grab a controller, mashing away at Street Fighter or just making my Skyrim dude fus roh dah over and over again. I saw Epic Mickey 2 go on sale at Gamefly and grabbed it for her with the intention it would be "her game" and just let her try and figure things out. She keeps figuring out how to do little things here and there and just squeals with delight at each new thing. It's a complete joy to watch her have so much fun.

That sounds like the best reason to become a parent.

I just got back from seeing Marc Maron do a live stand up set and he fucking killed. It looks like he also broke up a couple's relationship mid-set.

Some drunk girl down at the front got up to go to the bathroom and Marc joked with her a little bit, just as an aside. Then, for some bizarre reason, she hands him a belt. Just a normal belt. To hold onto, I guess? She never explained that. So now Marc is invested. He stops the show to talk with her and her boyfriend. Drunk girl is at a loss and just seems to like the attention so she keeps raising the roof. The boyfriend seems to be mortified but she eventually wanders off to the bathroom.

While she's gone, Marc starts talking to the bf and just nails their relationship dynamic right away (she's pretty but out of her mind and he just kind of quietly deals with it). When she comes back he uses their relationship dynamic to try to jump off into a personal story. Trying to make the point that he understands where the boyfriend is coming from, he said that basically she's the kind of girl who'd fuck him if she wasn't dating her boyfriend. Up until now, she was drunk and loving the attention, but this really pissed her off. Like it flipped a switch. So she walks out of the show in a huff.

Marc tries so win her back but she refuses to listen. So he turns to the boyfriend and asks him if he's going to go after her... and he just says no. The whole crowd erupted with applause. Marc then bonded with the guy by sharing one of the nicotine lozenges he's addicted to and went on with the show. So fucking good.

It was a killer set even without the weird interlude but that really made the night. He got a full standing O at the end of the set. Really awesome night. Couldn't have been better.

Hell yeah dude. Everything is new again with a kid. Now she keeps trying to play Dark Souls though. Had to tell her baby steps but made her a character anyway. Was grinning ear to ear when I would scroll through the CAC options and she would say no till she found a face/build type she liked.

Moved out of the old house and into a lovely new flat, with a cool gamer girl. So that's something nice. Plus some hill climbing leading up to house and pass week has consisted of me walking for ages with heavy luggage several times a day and I feel and look supah fresh.
Now to be able to afford this place for a year. You should all come for ze pizza parties.
