Andy is the one to praise for the design. It was between Barney and Rick from the Walking Dead, but Andy apparently thinks Rick was a sheriff or something. Also, Don Knotts was awesome.

Andy did a great job then. I wonder which one of those choices is most recognizable to the average Dtoider. Myself, I had to google Rick to form an idea of what his badge might look like. Defintely prefer Barney for that reason, plus he's just more fun to look at.
