I had a quick blast on it the other night with Beck and it seems great to us. I especially like the fact that you inventory save is seperate to your progress save. Gonna hammer it for the next few weeks.

I guess it would be possible. It took Magoo and I about 12/13 hours because we explored EVERYTHING without the aide of a strat guide, so we took our time getting through most levels. Most of the time we'd end up with A ranks due to gaining all S ranks with the lone exception of a C for time.
We're heading through it again to get all the goodies. I just unlocked the S&W M500 and plan on getting myself the unlimited version of that guy to take with me for a veteran play through. Cheap yes, but I'd sacrifice that for the sheer fun of it.![]()
I read some stuff on those rotten eggs and getting lots of cash.....Have someone join your game drop eggs, leave, join, drop eggs....etc then once you have full inventory you drop so you each get a full inventory, take turns selling and leaving.......etc
*wink, wink*
If you don't play this game co-op, then you are wasting your time, period. I have been playing with my friend online, and it is really alot of fun.
Got the game 2 days before launch, and played little over half-way through the game. It was great! Not many problems with Sheba's AI or anything, just a little hassle with item management, that's all. But then at launch, I started a new game, and played through the entirity of it with my best friend, as we had planned several months beforehand. And it was fucking incredible! Seriously, I can't stress out enough just how much better the game becomes if you play through it with a friend!
Regarding the game's controls. I had no problems with it (I used Type D for the record)... I think this kind of game is fitting for the 'stop and shoot' controls. Had the enemy been super agile while going from cover to cover, then thats another story. However, being able to abort or move while reloading is missed, especially when there's a crazy chainsaw guy heading straight at you (or while you're in the middle of gunfire later in the game).
Alot of people are probably going to miss the horror elements in the game. I personally felt that Resident Evil 4 hit a perfect balance between horror, action, atmosphere, puzzles, exploration and tense situations, while providing new and intuitive controls. Resident Evil 5 still has some of that, but it's now more focused about epic action and explotions while going in one direction. But it didnt detract from the experience to me, because I kind of accepted the game for what it was. But to me, Resident Evil 4 (the Wii Edition to be specific) is still my favourite in the series.
Other things I liked about the game? The breathtaking visuals, the quality production, the convincing voiceacting+lipsyncing+facial expressions, the amazingly directed cutscenes (though they could've cut down on the fancy schmansy 'Matrix slow motion' effects), the superb boss fights, and the epic music.
Things I didn't like all that much? Poor physics, occacional uncanny valley in-game animations, Neo Wesker, and the ridicilous setting for the final battle.
9/10

yeah. start the game as first player, after starting the game (if you are just starting the campaign it will be after the first checkpoint) have the second player connect their controller or turn on their wireless controller then have them press start. they will select a profile and you might have to start from the title screen again, but then it will work.
check page 12 of the booklet for details.
I have very little experience with RE5 because i don't have a 360
but from the level that i have played, i liked it very much. The executioner is awesome and the zombies do have decent AI. The first boss is pretty cool even if it does take 20 seconds to kill.
A lot of you have been saying that the game has lost its horror element, but i feel that its still there. Playing co-op me and my friend had a system of shoot in face and punch to not waste our ammo, but even though we did this and didn't waste more than 5 or 6 bullets (and even just running from some zombies) we were constantly low on ammo or running out. This keeps true to the survival part of survival horror. The setting is what i hear most people complain about though. Even though it isn't as dark as RE4 keeps you confined in small streets and buildings. This is more of a psychological factor than straight out scary.
later on i saw (with the magical power of the internet) that it becomes more of a laboratory setting. This isn't terribly creepy but it is creepy enough for me. I don't know how it gets from beyond the first level though.
On a side note, I love Chris' melee attacks. They are satisfying and fun. But if you do it to the executioner it just stands him up which adds more psychological tension.
so the point of my post is that RE5 still keeps to it horror roots but takes it a different way. Also that it is fun either way. But it isn't RE4, and it does well on not trying to copy the feel exactly because the setting would ruin that.
If anyone wants to add me so we can get cash with the whole item drop thing, it's cool.

It's funny because I painted our room yesterday while my girlfriend did the chapter 3-1 money/item thing over and over again as she wanted better guns and that melee vest, which does absofuckinglutely nothing at all and is a waste of $10,000. She wants to be extra safe so we need money for that....lol
I know it's cheap and all that but money is damn tight in this game and I don't know how they expect you do upgrade ALL the wepons without cheating as thats a lotta playthroughs!
Someone please come save me. Someone please play Co-Op with me. Anyone. Anyone at all?

Has anyone else here did a RE5 binge and played it until there where done the night it was released?
That was twelve sleepless hours I don't regret. Good times.

I've been playing it off and on since it came out, but last night was the first night I played with a bluetooth headset, it was freakin sweet! It's much easier when you can actually talk to your partner.
