Witcher console version produces a dilemma for me!

Well I was in work today sorting through the PC titles cause some fucking 12yr old retards messed them up and I came across the Witcher. It was a big old box and on the top said "Winner of over 90 awards blah blah".

Now some of the awards it listed are pretty fucking decent, so I thought, hey I'm a big RPG fan I'll get this mofo right now. The I remembered the post about the console version, hence my dilemma.

Is the console version an exact port of the PC version? I dont really like PC gaming anymore and would love to play it on a console, BUT if the console version is slightly different I dont mind playing what looks like an awesome game twice.

Any advice folks?

I played it on PC and found it to be relatively enjoyable, if a bit overambitious at times.

No idea what the console changes would be.

So far the only news is that the 360/PS3 version will be built from the ground up for consoles. That'll mean a new control scheme and combat system and 'other console-centric changes'. They said the console version was even getting a new engine.

The console version was announced for Fall 2009 so unless they have been working on it prior to the announcement I'd personally take the 'whole new game' angle with pinch of salt.

If you want to play it and have a decent PC I would just buy the Enhanced Edition (or the normal edition and get the enhancements from the website) for that. Then again I prefer my PC to my console :P
