I very rarely get to play with any of you cats due to you all living in the bright centre of the universe and me living on the planet that is farthest from, however, I intend to be starting out about 8am so maybe some of you will be online and eager to peel some zombie caps back?

I should be there. Have you done much versus yet? Maybe if we get enough Dtoiders on we could do two full teams. Or if not, we could get one team together and destroy idiots who don't work together in random public matches.

Played a bit of versus last week, it's fuck hard. I liked it but it's a totally different experience to playing co-op. It's a lot more hectic... plus I'm shit at being the specials.

Versus really only works well when you have eight human players... If one of the survivors is being run by a bot, they'll take you down instantly like the fucking Terminator even if you're a good distance away. I've found targeting the bots first is usually the best bet, since humans are always slower to react to a pinned teammate. It also requires more teamwork & communication than co-op, especially if you're currently the Infected. Get on a decent team and coordinate you attacks though, and you can demolish the survivors. Use a Boomer to get a horde on the survivors, then hit the group with your Smoker and two Hunters simultaneously. If all goes well, the confusion will let you deal a nice amount of damage on all four. One or two more coordinated strikes like that, and they're down. It's even easier if the survivors are being played by retards who don't stick together and watch each other's backs.

Best strategy I've found with the survivors is to hustle like hell through the level and stay together in a close group. Don't wait around for any longer than is necessary, that only gives the Infected more time to set up a strike. Even if you don't all make it to the safe room, you'll hopefully be able to cover more distance than the other team.

Mxy, the one thing I get frustrated about in multiplayer are teams of survivors that do THAT. Not that it's not totally legitimate, but it takes a lot of the fun out of playing as an Infected when you only get to spawn like four or five times during a round.

I'd just like to say that I played through No Mercy and Death Toll last morning with Banj. It was an incredible, life changing experience. I swear, at one point, I felt the earth move. Then I realized that a Tank had just thrown a hunk of concrete at my character's head and I should pay attention to the fucking game already and get to the safe room.
