Yea 8 bucks is a fucking no brainer for a nice linen cover hard back. It has a slip cover, bookmark, interviews, character sketches and preview of the comic books.

The maps are wonderful though. I need to spend some time with them. The latest hardback set is nice too. I may have a hard time resisting it. It IS almost time for a reread anyway.

I did a little digging and it looks like the more detailed maps are only in this deluxe edition. The reprints are the same book/maps with new dust covers.

Been listening the audio books of Song of Ice and Fire series to entertain me whilst walking the dog, I'm on A Feast of Crows so far. Roy Dotrice really did an excellent job narrating the first three books, unfortunately he forgot how he acted out certain characters on this one. Guess there was a long break between the books, but I would've wished he'd have put a bit more effort into it. It's still good, though, just a bit jarring at first.
