Mother is INCREDIBLY popular in Japan and so is Dragon Quest. So yes they would set the benchmark for JRPG's, rather than Final Fantasy. Same thing for Dragon Quest, I'm sorry that gaming companies...

No it's not, hating on FF has always been cool and awesome, especially since Dragon Quest and the Mother series have been around.
FF has never been the benchmark for games, that's what fanboys...

Then again, most Final Fantasy games are overrated and aren't very good, with the exceptions of 6 and 9.
7 is especially overrated.

Waiting for a 3DS Lite. Assuming MGS isn't launch, then none of the games look interesting. Plus I don't have $250 to spend.
